Small Groups

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved. -Acts 2:42, 46-47

Sharing Community within Small Groups: When Jesus called his disciples he joined them with strong bonds of fellowship as a group of twelve! Since that time Christians around the world have discovered the power of small group community. Worship at Saint Andrew can be a joyous experience, but worship alone does not fill our need for daily encouragement and practical ministry. Within a variety of small groups, Saint Andrew members and friends experience growth as they share the ordinary concerns and celebrations of daily life.

Basic Christian Community: Each Saint Andrew small group possesses its own distinct personality, but all our groups encourage the practice of core Christian practices. Small group meetings typically last an hour and a half and include reflection on the Bible, prayer, and the sharing of daily concerns.

Making Contact: If you are interested in learning more about small groups, please contact Pastor Kyle Otterbein.

Small Group Resources: Many of our groups use the readings from the weekly lectionary as the focus of their biblical reflection. If you are interested in the weekly lectionary passages, you can find them at the following site: Commentary on the Revised Common Lectionary
