BASIC to Camp Stronghold

Each June our youth head off to Camp Stronghold. For more information, contact Randy Hausler. Click here to download the registration information for Stronghold 2018. Below is the video of 2017's Camp Stronghold Week.

In the summer, Monday does not exist on the calendar of a junior high student, instead it is FUNDAY! Each Monday (right after Camp Stronghold) BASIC hosts various fun activities to help break up the boredom of summer. This summer we went to the movies, splashed and swam at Lost Island Waterpark, attended a concert in Coralville, went ice skating, and much much more!

My friends, what good is it to say you have faith if you don't do anything to show that you have faith? James 2:14

As Jesus passed along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake--for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, "Follow me and I will make you fish for people." And immediately they left their nets and followed him. As he went a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John, who were in their boat mending the nets. Immediately he called them; and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men, and followed him.  Matthew 4:18-22

We are introducing Net*Work: an interactive Christian Education experience for youth and interested adults. Yes, all our 7th - 12th graders will learn together from 9:45 to 10:30 on Sundays as a whole group, and they will be joined by any interested adults who are seeking to grow in their own understanding and practice of being a disciple of Jesus Christ. Click here to go to our Net*Work page.
